You’re Never Alone in New York, Even When You’re Alone in New York
A collection of sketches started in 2019 and resumed in 2021.
Most of these sketches are of Washington Square Park; as people stop to listen to music, I note their characteristics, and as they move on, and another person takes their place, continue sketching their resembling features and commonalities.
Each resulting figure is a composite of several people; a meditation on connection.
